Light and language as a link between cultures
In my study on artists' books, I coined the term "Livres de dialogue" - dialogue books that emphasize the creative exchange between poet and painter. Unlike the classic illustrated book of poetry, this is about a partnership of equals.
This philosophy is also reflected in my painting: colors, shapes and brushstrokes strive for harmonious balance. The result? Lively pictures that also radiate calm.
My work Into the Light integrates the word "light" in many languages. It shows how inner and outer light can cross borders and connect people.
One particular example: Rodolphe discovered Into the Light at my "Couleurs en Acte" exhibition at the Pavillon Vendôme art gallery in Clichy. Immediately impressed, he bought the work as a birthday surprise for his wife Anne. We captured this touching story in two YouTube videos - an insight into the magic of art and encounters.
As precious as a treasure
Artists' books are real treasures, as they are only available in limited editions and are made from high-quality materials such as handmade paper and handcrafted prints (lithography, screen printing, etc.).
These special books have inspired me to integrate exquisite materials into my collages. At my exhibitions, I make sure that my presentation is first-class by using high-quality flyers and the best papers for my art postcards.

Poetry meets painting
During my doctoral thesis on artists' books, I experienced how poetry and painting can work together harmoniously. My encounters with poets and painters inspired me to create my own collaborations.
I have translated my love of Paris into several artist's books, particularly in collaboration with Francine Caron, including Auf nach Paris(Paris par ici, published by Donner à voir, Le Mans, 2016).
I integrated the verses of Yves Peyré into my work Stars of the Soul - an experience that showed me how powerful the combination of poetry and painting can be.

Poetic language has a wonderful ability to evoke certain feelings and vivid images in us.
I draw my artistic inspiration from the power of color as uniquely embodied by Rimbaud and Baudelaire. This is particularly impressive in my series "Rimbaud's Color Rush", in which I reinterpret the vivid and contrasting color worlds of this avant-garde poet.
"True poetry is the pursuit of eternity in the moment," Rimbaud wrote, and it is precisely this pursuit that is reflected in my work.
